Looking inwards, helps to build two components to emotional intelligence: self-awareness and self-regulation. Self-awareness gives the ability to understand emotions, strengths, weaknesses, drives, values and goals, and recognize their impact on others.

The act of defining a problem; determining the cause of the problem;identifying, prioritizing and selecting alternatives for a solution; and implementing a solution.

Week 14: Analyzing Situations
Analyzing Situations process of selecting a logical choice from the available options. When trying to make a good decision, a person must weight the positives and negatives of each option, and consider all the alternatives. For effective decision making, a person must be able to forecast the outcome of each option as well, and based on all these items, determine which option is the best for that particular situation.

Respect is a positive feeling or action shown towards someone or something considered important, or held in high esteem or regard; it conveys a sense of admiration for good or valuable qualities; and it is also the process of honoring someone by exhibiting care, concern, or consideration for their needs or feelings..

Perspective Taking the process by which an individual viewsa situation from anther’s point-of-view. (their thoughts, feelings, desires, motivations, intentions).

Organizational Skills the ability to use your time, energy, resources, etc. in an effective way so that you achieve the things you want to achieve: Self-discipline and Organizational Skills are crucial to success in any profession.

Self Discipline: the ability to control one’s feelings and overcome one’s weaknesses;
the ability to pursue what one thinks is right despite temptations to abandon it.
Week 9: Impulse Control
impulsivity – failure to resist a temptation, an urge,
an impulse, or the inability to not speak on a thought.
Week 8: Appreciating Diversity
It means understanding that each individual is unique, and recognizing our individual differences. These can be along the dimensions of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs, or other ideologies.
